Whangarei Sculpture Symposium 2012 is a bi-annual event incorporating live sculpture with artists working in stone and wood. This free public event is run over 10 days in Reyburn Reserve Sculpture Park and culminates in a final festival day of food, live entertainment, the announcement of the selected art piece, followed by a live auction of up to 40 artworks.
The Sculpture Park offers a brilliant venue of alongside the Hatea River where the public can watch and interact with working artists and watch the sculptures evolve over a 10 day period. Everyone is invited.
