RECONNECTIONS
In this modern world where humans have difficulty adapting to daily pressure, and to the illusion that depersonalized connection represents, the exhibition "Reconnections" does not only focus on Internet connection and new technologies, but also offers a more spiritual or deeper angle of view, an abstract concept of each individual's inner connection with the whole. Faced with the vain and futile interests advocated by this virtualized world which is imposed on us and which we ourselves create every day, it is important to preserve dignity and nobility, for a better quality of human relationships. This will allow feminine values, too often forgotten along the way, to restore the harmonious balance of this world.
Anna Korver and Sébastien Boko therefore propose a dialogue on society, in the current context, where globalization results in a sort of abandonment of our roots and our cultural identities. By taking firm roots in the past and in their respective ancestral heritages (New Zealand, Benin), the two artists try to find a kind of resilience that will allow them to respond to the challenges of the present time.
